This slimline mag encases a toughened and hardened steel insert in Polymer 2. The result is the steel insert protects the magazine lips.
 
Polymer 2 is more resilient than steel. As a consequence, this composite magazine assembly can withstand a lot of abuse and still continue functioning. Glock magazines withstand visible damage or deformation after being dropped on solid floors from serious height.
 
Selected and expertly heat-treated steels form the spring. As a result spring tension lasts for years. As a result of the accurately manufactured spring and follower, the Glock Magazine feeds ammunition with total reliability.
